Job description

This is a fantastic leadership (Software Project Lead) opportunity, which involves leading a team to deliver embedded software on time, on cost and on quality!

Salary: up to circa £72,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

The HMI and Cyber team seeks a driven Software Project Lead to provide leadership and direction to project teams. You will collaborate across the business to leverage current product lines, propose new ones, and deliver customer capabilities. Opportunities include presenting to leadership and internationally.

You will oversee all parts of the software lifecycle: bidding, planning, budgeting, progress reporting, stakeholder management, integration, delivery, and support.

• Passion for building a strong team culture and supporting individual growth
• Proven ability to technically manage a team of 5-10 software engineers
• Experience delivering software on complex systems through all development stages
• Ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships and balance requirements
• Experience managing software budgets and controlling changes within estimates
• A love for problem solving and openness to change and improvement

Knowledge or interest in the following is a bonus but not required:
