Software Engineering Team Lead – Be the Driving Force Behind Our Clients Next-Gen Platform

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom (Remote)

Are you a passionate Software Engineering Lead with a vision for innovation and the hands-on skills to back it up? Working for part of a dynamic global group, as the Software Engineering Manager helping shape the future of our client's flagship product.

This is a unique opportunity to blend technical leadership, hands-on coding, product direction, and team mentoring in a role that’s both strategic and execution-focused.

What You’ll Do:

1. Lead the architecture, design, and development of cutting-edge .NET-based software products
2. Drive the technical strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve our platform
3. Guide and mentor a team of talented developers - inspiring growth, curiosity, and innovation
4. Champion best practices: define and enforce clean code standards, robust testing, and scalable architecture
5. Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging tools, frameworks, and AI-driven development technologies
6. Leverage AI tools for code generation, testing, and productivity acceleration
7. Ensure delivery of high-quality features on time, every time

Experience:

1. Experience working in a startup/SME business
2. 7+ years in software development, with 2+ years in a leadership or senior technical role
3. Proven experience in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technologies
4. Deep understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns
5. Experience in SaaS or enterprise application development
6. Passion for AI-driven development and a growth mindset
