Job summary

BT Group in Manchester is seeking a Software Engineering Specialist to join our security-focused software delivery teams. You will help develop and maintain bespoke, highly complex capabilities critical to our customers, working across platforms and languages with a strong emphasis on technical excellence.

The role is based onsite in Manchester, with a 37.5 hour week, and eligibility for Developed Vetting clearance.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our software delivery teams, working alongside our customers and partners to work on key customer services.

The team develop and maintain bespoke, highly complex, specialist capabilities that are critical to the success of our customers, who we work very closely with. We work across a wide variety of platforms and technology stacks and we utilise a range of programming languages.

This job role is based in Manchester. Onsite (Office based 5 days per week). Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.
