Halian is currently supporting a forward-thinking and award-winning SaaS business in London that put innovation at the heart of what they do.

They are now looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead an established international team of high-performing engineers on a permanent basis.

You will be the visionary leader responsible for driving the strategic direction of the engineering team and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software that use ML to manage assets.

Please note this is a leadership role with a significant opportunity to share the future of the product and engineering culture, guiding a talented team as they continue to grow.

Key Duties:

• Lead and manage a team of 10–12 engineers
• Foster a culture of excellence, trust, and high performance
• Drive Agile development and own team performance metrics
• Deliver hands-on software engineering where needed (especially for prototyping)
• Maintain and evolve ISO 27001 certification and security posture
• Oversee IT systems (Office 365, GitHub, Atlassian, AWS)
• Handle hiring, performance management, and team growth

Requirements:

• Extensive software development experience working ideally with the following technologies: Java, C#, DevOps, Python & Cloud (AWS or Azure).
• Deep understanding of designing scalable, high-performance systems, including microservices, cloud- architectures and distributed systems.
• An ability to provide broad and detailed technical development support.
• A track record of collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
• Proven background in successfully leading teams and delivering complex software products at scale.
• Proven ability to set and communicate long-term technical visions that align with the company’s business goals.
