Job summary

MBDA UK Limited in Stevenage offers a Software Engineering Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship starting September 2027. You will split time between MBDA sites and Cranfield MK:U for a BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions, with a six-month and twelve-month placement plan across MBDA software teams.

The role covers embedded to front-end software using C, C++, Java, across Linux/Windows platforms. Clear entry criteria include GCSEs and A-levels or equivalents with maths/CS focus.

Qualifications

• GCSEs: minimum 5 GCSEs incl English Language, Maths and a Science/Tech subject.
• Post-GCSE routes: A levels (3 total 120 UCAS, with Maths or Computing/CS), T Level in Eng/Computing with Merit, or Level 3 Extended Diploma in Eng Maths/Science/IT/Engineering at min DDM.
• Programme integrates university study with MBDA software placements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the software development lifecycle across embedded systems and front-end software.
• Work across multiple placements (6 x 6 months in years 1–3; 12-month finalYear) within the Software function.
• Collaborate with teams to learn technologies and development methodologies used at MBDA.
