MBDA in Stevenage offers a Software Engineering Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship for 2027 entry. You will study for a Digital and Technology Solutions degree at Cranfield MK:U while completing 6 placements across MBDA software teams, gaining hands-on experience with C, C++, and Java.

The role requires British citizenship, BPSS checks, and willingness to travel to study locations. Starting salary is £23,000 with a £3,000 joining bonus; the program lasts four years.

Qualifications

• GCSEs: minimum 5 GCSEs including English Language, Maths and any Science or Technology subject.
• A-levels or equivalent with 120 UCAS tariff points, including Maths or Computing/CS, with no grade below C.
• Security clearance: British Citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship.
• Willing to relocate to Stevenage and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Six 6-month placements across Software in years 1–3 to gain broad exposure to MBDA software domains.
• Work onsite at MBDA and study with Cranfield MK:U for the degree.
• Contribute to development across embedded systems and software for weapon systems.
