Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Software Engineer to join their development team. This fully remote UK role features a four-day week (Fri-Mon, 11:00–19:00) and Midlands meetups on occasion. You will build and maintain consumer-facing web platforms using Node.js, TypeScript and React, with a focus on scalable MySQL databases and integrations with third party APIs.

You’ll contribute to live services used by a large international audience while working in a small, collaborative remote team.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years' commercial software development experience.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript skills.
• Solid front-end experience with React.
• Good working knowledge of MySQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations.

THE ROLE

Searchability is working with a well-established digital technology business to find a Software Engineer to join their development team. This is a fully remote position with a different working pattern: 11am to 7pm, Friday to Monday. That gives you a four-day week with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off, so you get midweek time to yourself while everyone else is at work.

You’ll be building and maintaining consumer-facing web platforms and services used by a large international audience.
