Job summary

bp is seeking a Software Engineer to join our digital capabilities team. You will deliver features used across bp's global operations and help teams adopt modern engineering standards. Expect collaboration, learning, and influence on how we design and operate our digital products.

Role involves building scalable software with the Yalla stack, implementing secure coding practices, and contributing to CI/CD and release processes in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Software Engineer on production systems with growing ownership.
• Strong understanding of Agile development and modern software practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling.
• Proficiency in at least one major language (Java/C#/Python/Go/JS/TS).
• Familiarity with container-based development and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implementation of scalable software solutions.
• Work with leads to deliver priorities aligned with bp strategy.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate solutions with the Yalla stack.
• Develop production-ready code and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Support deployments and live services with monitoring and incident response.
• Apply bp security standards and participate in system design discussions.
• Share knowledge and foster a collaborative culture.
