Brown & Brown, Inc. Europe is hiring an Engineer for a hybrid role in Borehamwood. You will join a cross‑functional squad focused on delivering secure, reliable software with growing autonomy.

The role covers front‑end and backend work using React, .NET/C#, APIs and Azure. You will write tests, participate in planning, reviews and CI/CD, and contribute to ongoing quality, security and automation initiatives while supporting customers and squads.

Qualifications

• Commercial development experience in a professional setting.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication skills.
• Experience with modern JavaScript/React and .NET/C# backend.
• Knowledge of APIs, relational data and testing practices.
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure, CI/CD and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end applications, APIs, services and integrations.
• Write clean, secure, maintainable code and participate in reviews.
• Refine requirements with Product, QA and engineering teams.
• Create automated tests and integrate quality into changes.
• Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to deploy safely.
• Participate in planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and demos.
• Own tasks through development, release and support.
