Job summary

Speechify is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own and evolve a wide range of services, from payments and analytics to TTS and external integrations.

You will design robust APIs (public and internal), oversee the API landscape for performance, and collaborate on B2B solutions with enterprise clients. A cross-functional, fast-paced team culture values leadership and delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Experience with GCP and other cloud providers (AWS/Azure).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, TTS, and external APIs.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise clients with customization and integration needs.

• The responsibilities of our Platform team include building and maintaining all backend services, including, but not limited to, payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs
• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience
