Job summary

LaraBench in the United Kingdom is seeking a versatile software engineer to build business-critical software with direct commercial impact.

You will influence engineering standards, solution design and the adoption of AI-assisted delivery practices, while working across cloud infrastructure, APIs and integrations.

Strong PHP development (Symfony/Laravel or similar), solid JavaScript, and SQL experience are essential, plus the ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in PHP with Symfony or Laravel or similar modern framework.
• Strong JavaScript development experience.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and review generated code.
• Strong debugging, testing and code review capabilities.
• Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to AWS, Linux, CI/CD or deployment automation is advantageous.
• Experience maintaining or modernising established software platforms is beneficial.
