Job summary

ADLIB is seeking a skilled software engineer to design and deliver business-critical software with a direct commercial impact. You will influence engineering standards, solution design, and the adoption of AI-assisted delivery practices, while working across cloud infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and modern development methods.

The role requires strong PHP (Symfony/Laravel) and JavaScript, plus experience with SQL databases and API integrations.

Job description

  • Play a key role in developing business-critical software with direct commercial impact.
  • Influence engineering standards, solution design and the adoption of AI-assisted delivery practices.
  • Enjoy autonomy, variety and exposure to cloud infrastructure, APIs, integrations and modern development practices.
  • Strong PHP development experience using Symfony, Laravel or a comparable modern framework.
  • Solid JavaScript development skills.
  • Experience designing and working with relational databases and SQL.
  • Proven ability to turn business requirements into structured technical solutions.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools and reviewing generated code effectively.
  • Strong debugging, testing and code review capabilities.
  • Experience working with APIs and third‑party integrations.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
  • Clear communication skills and experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exposure to AWS, Linux, CI/CD pipelines or deployment automation would be advantageous.
  • Experience maintaining or modernising established software platforms would be beneficial.
