Job summary

LaraBench is hiring a Senior Laravel Developer to scale a SaaS platform in a fully remote UK role. Join a team shaping AI-driven analysis of customer conversations with a strong backend focus and modern technology stack.

You will work closely with CTO, Lead Engineer and product teams to design, implement and deploy scalable backend services, APIs and data pipelines while upholding high engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong Laravel APIs, queues, jobs, events and scheduled processes.
• Strong SQL capabilities with MariaDB/MySQL.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud-based applications.
• Automated testing, source control and modern deployment processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support backend applications and services using PHP and Laravel.
• Own new functionality from initial design through to production.
• Create and maintain APIs, CRM integrations and third-party integrations.
• Work with large volumes of call recordings, transcripts and related data.
• Analyse and optimise MariaDB/MySQL queries and app performance.
• Develop background processing, queues and event-driven workflows.
• Maintain reliability of the AWS-hosted environment.
• Investigate production incidents and implement fixes.
• Enhance automated testing, monitoring, logging and deployments.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
