G-Research in London offers a 12-week summer internship across our technology teams. You’ll write production-level code, work on platforms that support quantitative research, and learn from experienced engineers through a structured onboarding process.

You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor and have access to internal technical and professional development courses, gaining exposure to data pipelines and large-scale datasets. A collaborative, problem-solving mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 2:1 or higher in Computer Science and due to graduate in 2028.
• Experience in at least one OO language (C#, Java or C++).
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures and systems design.
• Interest in how engineering supports quantitative research and complex systems at scale.
• Structured, analytical problem-solving with good judgement and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering high-quality, maintainable code for large datasets.
• Supporting and evolving production platforms and research tools.
• Partnering with quantitative researchers to improve data quality and value.
• Developing and optimising database queries and infrastructure.
• Enhancing internal tools and data processing pipelines at scale.
