Job summary

AMD Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering intern to join the team onsite for July–September. You will work with software engineers to build and maintain applications, while gaining training across the full software lifecycle and automating development tasks.

You will learn debugging methods, contribute to technical documents, and apply knowledge of C/C++ and Linux in a real-world project environment. This paid internship offers mentorship and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• You are enrolled at a UK university in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Familiarity with C and C++, OOD, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Linux environments, multithreaded programming, and OS concepts.
• Exposure to ML algorithms and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, JAX, Caffe).
• Knowledge of kernel-level programming, CUDA/HIP, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Interest in intern roles with mentorship and hands-on project work.

Responsibilities

• Assist software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
• Receive training across the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Create scripts to automate development tasks and workflows.
• Learn debugging methodologies to identify root causes of issues.
• Contribute to technical/functional documents and reports as needed.
