As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Markets Research Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of top-tier technology products. Your work will involve challenging projects in cloud-native data, backend engineering, and AI/ML engineering, aiding in the industrialization of AI/ML models at a production scale. This hands-on engineering role will utilize your expertise to promote critical technology solutions across various business functions.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
2. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms.
3. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
4. Build engineering stacks for Data and AIML products, including data engineering, backend engineering, Cloud infra, DevOps, and MLOps.
5. Design and implement data engineering solutions using modern big data technologies.
6. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore new technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
2. Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
3. Proficient in coding in Python.
4. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment.
5. Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
6. Proven track record in system design, architecting, and developing microservices and distributed systems.
7. Experience with Cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and containerized application development.
8. Practical experience developing production-scale cloud-native data engineering solutions.
9. Familiarity with Cloud Data engineering services and MLOps.
10. Ability to convey design choices and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

1. Experience with data and ML engineering in commercial settings.
2. Experience working on recommendation systems or other AI/ML systems.
3. Practical experience with Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, MLOps, and Spark.
4. Prior experience collaborating with data scientists.
