Job Description

As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within CIB Research Technology, you are a key part of the global team responsible for the engineering behind the CIB’s award-winning Research organization. You will be a technical contributor, building solutions that transform and evolve our platform to enable our analysts to produce engaging, high-quality financial research. Our team owns the flagship JPMM Research Platform along with the Content Creation Platform used for producing Research. We work across a variety of stacks and technologies with a broad remit and great deal of autonomy. This role will focus on expanding our platform across the Markets organization.

Job Responsibilities

1. Build key solutions across Research to extend, enhance, and modernize our platforms.
2. Take ownership of end-to-end roadmap items.
3. Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and plan delivery.
4. Work collaboratively with a global team of passionate engineers.
5. Drive overall solution quality with a focus on code quality, stability, and resiliency.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

1. Demonstrate ownership of delivery end-to-end from ideation to production.
2. Deep expertise in one or more programming languages and ideally some system design/architecture.
3. Strong problem-solving ability with an ability to pick up new technologies and domains quickly.
4. Understanding of software delivery and working in an Agile environment.
5. Proven experience in breaking down product requirements into actionable engineering deliveries.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers at all organizational levels.
