Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Cash Asset Management team in the Commercial & Investment Bank. The role focuses on designing, developing, and sustaining secure, scalable software within an agile environment.

You will contribute to enterprise-grade technology products, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools and a strong emphasis on secure coding practices to deliver robust solutions across systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practical experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience coding with one or more modern languages and database querying languages in a large-scale environment.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solutions through design, development, and troubleshooting across multiple components.
• Write secure, high-quality code using modern languages with limited guidance.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity, with peer review and tests.
• Apply SDLC tools and automation capabilities to improve value realized by automation.
• Gather and analyze data to support secure, stable application development.
• Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and best practices.
