Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III to join an agile team delivering trusted, market-leading technology across multiple domains.

You will implement critical solutions, contribute to secure, scalable platforms, and collaborate with peers to enhance performance and resilience. You will work on architecture/design, data visualizations, and AI-assisted coding tools, ensuring secure coding practices and adherence to CI/CD and resiliency standards in a global financial services

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.
• Proficiency in Java technologies and frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot and REST-based services.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and log analysis.
• Experience building, debugging, and maintaining code in large-scale environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, resiliency, and security practices in agile contexts.
• Familiarity with cloud, AI/ML, or mobile tech domains.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions across design, development, and troubleshooting to break down complex problems and deliver innovations.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms aligned with systems.
• Produce architecture/design artifacts for complex applications across the SDLC.
• Gather and analyze data to generate visualizations and improve software applications.
• Identify data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assistance tools to improve code quality and speed, with peer review and testing.
• Apply SDLC tools knowledge, including AI-assisted development and automation, to boost value creation.
• Contribute to a diverse, inclusive team culture.
