Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Commercial & Investment Bank agile team. You will implement critical technology solutions, improve system resilience, and deliver secure, scalable software across domains.

You will contribute as a core technical developer, collaborating with peers to design, implement, and optimize production-grade code while upholding secure coding standards and enterprise practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Experience using enterprise‑authorized AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling.
• Experience with CI/CD, cloud, and security practices.
• Experience in large-scale, multi-language environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting to break down complex problems and deliver innovative outcomes
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are consistently met throughout the software development lifecycle
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
