Job summary

Sony Music Entertainment, based in London, seeks a Software Engineer for PDEGO in our King’s Cross office. You'll power technology supporting artists and record labels worldwide, working in a cross‑functional team to deliver robust experiences.

Sony Music’s Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDEGO) Team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in our King’s Cross office (London). Your work will power technology that supports our artists and record labels worldwide.

What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer with PDEGO:

• Work with a cross‑functional team to build products that empower artists and record labels across the globe.
• Contribute to all tiers of our architecture to produce high quality, robust user experiences.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code.
• Work closely with product management to understand client requirements.
• Participate in re‑architecture, refinement and technical design of various systems.

Who You Are

• We’re seeking a Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
• Experience working with distributed systems and scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in a scripting languages (such as Python, Javascript/Typescript) and React.
• Experience with working with GraphQL and Rest APIs, SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with the software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, and related standards such as REST and HTTP.
• Comfortable with AWS Cloud technologies and cloud‑native data services.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience working in an agile team.
