Junior C# Software Engineer- Bristol, UK

Third Dimension Software in Bristol – world leading manufacturers of hand-held, non-contact precision measurement tools – are seeking a C# Software Engineer with experience building modern applications.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a passion for developing high-performance, reliable software solutions to join a close-knit, well-rounded team, in a business that is growing and innovating!

The role offers hybrid working, with a requirement to be on-site with the team in Filton (Bristol) at least twice a week. We offer a competitive salary, and a range of benefits including health insurance, health cash plan, death in service, and of course matched pension contributions.

Role

As a C# Software Engineer, reporting to the team leader, you’ll be responsible for development of distributed solutions for next-generation products.

• Developing, testing, and debugging software.
• Collaborating with other engineers in the team to create software solutions.
• Ensuring solutions are created to the highest standard, with performance and user experience in mind.
• Develop efficient, testable, and reusable code, promoting best practices.
• Positive “can do” attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve problems.

Technical Skills(Must Haves)

• 2+ years commercial C# development experience.
• Experience with .NET Web APIs.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Relational Database Design.
• Working knowledge of React.
• Understanding of Design Patterns.
• SDLC , revision control and change configuration management.
• Practical experience with any of the following technologies:
• Docker (or other container platforms).
• Nginx or similar.
• Hangfire.
• Mapperly.
• gRPC.
• SignalR.
• TypeScript.
• Vite.
• Metrology and / or experience of manufacturing techniques.

Salary & Benefits

The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary of up to £40,000, the opportunity for flexible hybrid working, as well as a host of other benefits including health insurance, health cash plan, death in service and matched pension contributions.
