Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the Data Center Industrial Controls Run-times team. You will hire and guide engineers building on-premise industrial automation software for building management and electrical power infrastructure.

You will partner with product managers, set roadmaps, drive technical direction, and ensure scalable, reliable software for a global infrastructure, including travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Experience in engineering team management.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a team of software engineers through hiring, coaching and promotion.
• Set high engineering standards and operational excellence using agile processes.
• Communicate with team, peers, senior leaders and stakeholders clearly with data-driven arguments.
• Work with other teams to break down challenges, estimate efforts, and create schedules.
