The Smart Commerce team in India is building a new team from the ground up and seeking software engineers to join us.

They will primarily work on our product SmartBiz. SmartBiz by Amazon is a one-stop shop for Indian sellers to fulfill their online selling needs. Whether a small business, an entrepreneur, or a neighborhood store, sellers can now create their own e-commerce store within minutes and start showcasing and selling their products online.

Key job responsibilities

1. Work with product managers to develop strategies and roadmaps that provide compelling capabilities to help sellers succeed in their business goals.
2. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
3. Implement best practices for software development and documentation, ensure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
4. Manage projects by prioritizing, planning features, stakeholder management, and tracking external commitments.
5. Ensure operational excellence through monitoring and operation of production services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
