Description

Amazon is seeking a talented Full-stack Software Development Engineer to join the EU Prime Savings or EU Prime Speed tech team.

Role Details

• This is a fixed 12-month on-site contract in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, or Luxembourg. Applicants must already reside in one of these locations and hold a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools.
• Collaborate closely with business partners, UI/UX designers, and fellow SDEs to create new Amazon Prime customer-facing experiences.
• Make informed engineering decisions and contribute to continuous improvement practices.

About The Teams

The EU Prime Savings team (Prime Xclusive Genie, PXG) focuses on enhancing Prime value for EU members by increasing annual savings and creating engaging shopping experiences beyond major sales. The EU Prime Speed team aims to improve delivery speed and infrastructure, providing faster Prime benefits and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Build large-scale systems that deliver seamless shopping experiences for Prime customers.
• Own end-to-end, full-stack solution delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and continuous development practices.

A Day in the Life

As an SDE2, you will own projects from conception to deployment, working on scalable software and data analysis platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences with both backend and frontend technologies.

Basic Qualifications

• Professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C# with object-oriented design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and operations.
