Job summary

DFS Group is seeking a software developer to join a team of developers, contributing to design, development, and testing of new programs. You will maintain and improve existing applications, and communicate with end users to ensure requirements are met.

You will produce user and technical documentation and adhere to coding standards. Experience of design and programming across platforms (AIX and Windows) and familiarity with React, C#, ASP.NET, HTML and IIS are desirable.

• Experience in design and programming across diverse platforms including AIX and Windows.
• Good communication skills.
• Persuasive with ability to challenge and influence decisions.
• Familiarity with development, testing, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team of developers.


• Helping to specify, develop & test new programs


• Maintaining and improving existing programs.


• Communicating with end users (stores, factories & Head Office) to ensure requirements are met.


• Producing user and technical documentation.


• Adhering to coding standards


• Providing input into application improvement plans.
  Experience of design and programming on a variety of platforms and environments including AIXand Windows based operating systems


• Good communication skills


• Persuasive skills and ability to challenge


• Experience of REACT, C#, ASP.NET, HTML and IIS, Microsoft Visual Basic / .NET would be desirable.
