Job summary

DFS Group is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to our internal development team. You will work on new developments and enhancements to our software and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver world-class solutions that support growth.

The role offers exposure to the full development lifecycle and opportunities to learn across varied projects within a growing Technology Department.

Qualifications

• Experience of design and programming on multiple platforms including AIX and Windows environments.
• Good communication skills and ability to challenge when needed.
• Experience with React, C#, ASP.NET, HTML and IIS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team of developers.
• Helping to specify, develop & test new programs.
• Maintaining and improving existing programs.
• Communicating with end users (stores, factories & Head Office) to ensure requirements are met.
• Producing user and technical documentation.

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to compliment our internal team of developers. This role will support the current team working on new developments and enhancements to existing software.This is an exciting time to join the DFS Technology Department as we strive to revolutionise the DFS Technology systems. The successful candidate will play an integral part in providing the business with information working with internal stakeholders and external partners to produce world class solutions to support the future growth of the business.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become part of a Technology department where you can experience the full development life cycle of technology solutions working with amazingly talented people in a growing and progressive team.As the business has a growing need for access to information you will have the chance to build strong working relationships across the company and the opportunity to develop and broaden your skills by working on a variety of projects with both internal and external partners.

What you’ll be responsible for

We’re looking for someone who has

• Experience of design and programming on a variety of platforms and environments including AIXand Windows based operating systems
• Good communication skills
• Persuasive skills and ability to challenge
• Experience of REACT, C#, ASP.NET, HTML and IIS, Microsoft Visual Basic / .NET would be desirable.
