Job summary

DFS Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Software Developer to join our Technology Department and help enhance our existing software while developing new solutions. You will be part of a growing team delivering world-class technology within our DFS brands.

The role offers the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders and external partners across the full development life cycle, contributing to systems that support DFS's future growth and digital capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience of design and programming on a variety of platforms and environments including AIX and Windows based operating systems.
• Persuasive skills and ability to challenge.
• Experience of REACT, C#, ASP.NET, HTML and IIS, Microsoft Visual Basic / .NET would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team of developers.
• Helping to specify, develop & test new programs.
• Maintaining and improving existing programs.
• Communicating with end users (stores, factories & Head Office) to ensure requirements are met.
• Producing user and technical documentation.

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to compliment our internal team of developers. This role will support the current team working on new developments and enhancements to existing software.This is an exciting time to join the DFS Technology Department as we strive to revolutionise the DFS Technology systems. The successful candidate will play an integral part in providing the business with information working with internal stakeholders and external partners to produce world class solutions to support the future growth of the business.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become part of a Technology department where you can experience the full development life cycle of technology solutions working with amazingly talented people in a growing and progressive team.As the business has a growing need for access to information you will have the chance to build strong working relationships across the company and the opportunity to develop and broaden your skills by working on a variety of projects with both internal and external partners.

What you’ll be responsible for
