Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Payroll Software Developer with strong, demonstrable Oracle HCM Payroll experience to join a busy technical team supporting payroll as a core business service.
This is not a project-based development role. The successful candidate will work across the business, supporting high-priority change and developing solutions within the payroll environment. A significant area of focus will be pay awards and associated payroll changes, requiring a strong understanding of Oracle payroll processing and the technical development required to deliver accurate and reliable outcomes.
The role will operate within a DevOps approach, combining software engineering, systems integration, problem solving and user-focused development.
The key requirement is a technical Payroll Software Developer, rather than a general Oracle developer. Candidates must be able to demonstrate genuine hands-on experience of Oracle HCM Payroll, particularly payroll processing, Elements configuration and the technical development surrounding payroll change.
Candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate experience with OIC integrations, SQL, PL/SQL and Fast Formula debugging, alongside a strong understanding of payroll runbooks, retrospective payroll calculations and payroll data/tables.
If you have the technical depth to work across Oracle HCM Payroll development, integrations, reporting and problem solving, and can operate effectively in a demanding shared services environment, this could be an excellent opportunity.
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrable experience of Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll, including payroll processing, Payroll Elements configuration, Fast Formula, payroll tables, retrospective payroll calculations/processes and associated development activities.
Strong hands-on experience developing Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, with proven SQL and PL/SQL skills and the ability to investigate and resolve technical payroll issues.
Experience working within a corporate services or shared services environment, together with strong OTBI/BI reporting experience and the ability to support users and high-priority business change.
