Job summary

Reed Technology is seeking a Software Developer for a fully remote role with occasional travel to Exeter. You will design, develop, and maintain in-house software, writing clean, secure code to power business operations and drive performance.

The job requires strong .NET/C#, Angular, SQL and Azure DevOps skills, plus a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working and a modern tech stack are offered.

Qualifications

• Commercial software development experience with .NET/C# and Angular.
• Strong SQL, Azure Cloud services, and version control skills.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions in Azure and testing/debugging mindset.
• Desirable PHP development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain in-house software solutions aligned with goals.
• Write clean, reusable, and secure code powering operations.
• Identify improvements and develop performance and UX enhancements.
• Conduct testing and QA to ensure bug-free software that meets needs.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to align software with objectives.
• Maintain and optimize systems across platforms for secure operation.
• Manage and maintain code repositories in Azure DevOps.

• Location: Fully Remote (travel to Exeter once per quarter)

• Salary: 50,000 - 55,000 per annum

Day-to-day of the role:

• Design, develop, and maintain in-house software solutions, ensuring they meet strategic goals.
• Write clean, reusable, and secure code that powers operations.
• Identify areas for improvement and develop solutions that enhance performance and user experience.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure software is bug-free and meets business needs.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues and other departments to align software solutions with business objectives.
• Maintain and optimize systems across multiple platforms, ensuring smooth and secure operation.
• Manage and maintain code repositories in Azure DevOps.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commercial software development, particularly with .NET technologies (C#), MVC.NET, SQL, and Azure DevOps/Git.
• Proven strong front-end reactive experience mainly with Angular
• Expertise in T-SQL and JSON, with a deep understanding of database structures and query optimization.
• Experience developing cloud-based solutions in Azure
• A structured, analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to testing and debugging.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience developing with PHP
