Job summary

Amazon is looking for Software Development Engineers to design and build cutting-edge, scalable services that impact millions of customers. Join the Ring Video app team and help deliver real-time video streaming across iOS and Android using Swift, WebRTC, and distributed systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional peers in a fast-paced, agile environment, apply fundamentals of CS—data structures, algorithms, and OO design—and own features from conception to production.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in CS/CE/DS with expected graduation between Aug 2026 and Nov 2026.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building mobile apps (Android or iOS) preferred.

About the team

The Ring Video app team owns the media streaming experiences across the Ring and Blink smart home applications. The team builds native iOS and Android applications using Swift and WebRTC to deliver real-time video streaming to millions of customers worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields
• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
• Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles
• Expected graduation between August 2026 - November 2026, OR graduated within the last 24 months

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience from previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience with video encoding and streaming media standards
• Experience building Android or iOS applications
• Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVVM, clean architecture, or modular design)
• Experience developing native iOS applications using Swift
