Description

EU Supply Chain is expanding its engineering team based in Luxembourg, with new SDE roles to develop world-class production systems supporting Inbound & Placement operations. You will work on cross-functional projects that are exploratory and utilize the latest technology for planning and optimization. This role offers the opportunity to enhance your domain knowledge by collaborating with top business intelligence engineers, product managers, and research scientists.

Key projects include building a global system in partnership with SCOT to optimize storage costs and inventory placement, using advanced technology for large-scale business planning and automation. We lead in thought leadership in Ideal Placement and Network Capacity Management, working with industry experts.

This role is ideal if you:

  • Are a self-starter interested in architecting large-scale data processing systems with optimization models and workflow orchestration.
  • Want to own impactful initiatives with significant cost savings.
  • Have experience improving team coding practices related to quality and security.
  • Aim to contribute to business goals with substantial financial impact.
  • Can communicate complex technical challenges to non-technical audiences.
  • Are looking to transition into applied science or AI roles.

  • Want to expand and optimize supply chain systems for new business initiatives.
  • Use Test-Driven Development and Continuous Deployment practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions for high-impact business problems in Inbound & Placement, such as FC Bin Storage Capacity and Local Placement.
  • Experiment with new technologies as needed.
  • Apply Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, researchers, and business intelligence teams to optimize supply chain management systems.

About the team: Supply Chain Engineering comprises SDEs, AS, and BIEs focused on building features, maintaining existing products, and improving internal tools annually.

Basic qualifications:

  • Experience in professional software development.
  • Experience designing reliable, scalable systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, testing, and operations.
