Software Dev Engineer II, Supply Chain Engineering, EU Supply Chain Engineering

EU Supply Chain is expanding its engineering team based out of Luxembourg, with new SDE roles, to build world-class production systems supporting its Inbound & Placement operations. You will have the opportunity to work on cross-functional projects that are exploratory in nature, utilizing the latest technology for planning and optimization decisions. Additionally, you will expand your domain knowledge by collaborating with top business intelligence engineers, product managers, and research scientists in the industry.

We are focused on optimizing our FC Bin storage capacity to reduce costs as prime real estate becomes more expensive. We are developing a worldwide system in partnership with SCOT to make storage cost-optimal inventory placement decisions, ensuring the right items are placed in the right fulfillment centers and preventing excess inventory shipments. This in-house system will leverage advanced technology for automating large-scale business planning and optimization, positioning us as thought leaders in Ideal Placement and Network Capacity Management.

This role is ideal if you:

  • Are a self-starter interested in architecting large-scale data processing systems involving economic and optimization models, workflow orchestration.
  • Enjoy leading innovative initiatives with significant savings ($50M+).
  • Have experience improving team coding practices related to quality and security.
  • Aim to contribute to impactful business goals ($85M+).
  • Can effectively communicate technical challenges and solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Are interested in transitioning into Applied Science and AI roles.
  • Want to work in a tech environment close to business problems.
  • Seek to expand and optimize supply chain systems for emerging initiatives.
  • Practice Test-Driven Development and Continuous Deployment.

Key responsibilities include designing end-to-end solutions for high-impact business problems such as FC Bin Storage Capacity, experimenting with relevant technologies, applying Agile methodologies, collaborating across teams to optimize supply chain management, and supporting new business initiatives.

About the team: Supply Chain Engineering comprises SDEs, AS, and BIEs focused on building features, maintaining existing products, and improving internal tools annually.

Minimum requirements:

  • Professional software development experience (non-internship).
  • Experience designing or architecting scalable, reliable systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and operations.
