Proactive Appointments is seeking a Software Delivery Manager in Leeds for a hybrid role (2 days on-site). You will deliver complex technology changes across two systems within pensions/financial services, covering technical delivery, platform delivery and implementations.

A strong track record in full change lifecycle, solution design, testing and deployment is essential. The role requires senior delivery experience, collaboration with third-party vendors, and a focus on improving delivery

Responsibilities

Software Delivery Manager

Leeds | Permanent | Hybrid (2 days on-site per week) | Up to £60,000 per annum + Bonus + Excellent Pension

Our client are looking for twoSoftware Delivery Manager's to sit across two different systems in their technology estate. The right candidate will have experience delivering technology change within pensions, financial services or regulated environments. This is a broad role covering technical delivery, platform delivery and systems implementations and changes. You'll need experience of full change lifecycle, technical analysis, solution design, testing and deployement.

Experience required:

• Strong experience in a senior technical delivery, technical lead, platform delivery or systems implementation role within a complex technology environment
• Demonstrable experience of leading technical implementation activities across the full change lifecycle, including technical analysis, solution design, build/configuration oversight, testing, deployment and early life support
• Experience working with third-party suppliers, software vendors and internal delivery teams
• Experience contributing to the continual improvement of delivery processes, technical standards and implementation practices

Skills required:

• Strong understanding of digital delivery methodologies, Agile delivery practices and modern software delivery principles
• Ability to translate business requirements and digital product objectives into practical technical solutions and delivery plans
• Good understanding of systems integration, APIs, technical dependencies, environments, release management and implementation risk
• Ability to work effectively within Agile and change delivery frameworks, applying appropriate governance and technical controls
• Ability to apply a structured approach to implementation planning, dependency management, issue tracking and risk management
• Understanding of the importance of documentation, technical standards, release governance and operational readiness
• Ability to assess digital change for operational impact, supportability, security and downstream dependencies

Qualifications required:

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering
• ITIL certified or Project Manager qualifications (Prince2, MSP, PMP or PMI)
