Job summary

Eden Scott’s Glasgow-based client is seeking an experienced Software Automation Tester to shape quality across a rapidly evolving SaaS platform. Hybrid role in Glasgow with collaboration across engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

You will design and enhance automated testing capabilities, working hands-on with modern tooling to ensure high reliability and rapid delivery in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience testing SaaS or cloud-based applications.
• Hands-on automation testing with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with Agile development practices.

• Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks across web and API layers.

The Role

You will be an experienced Automation Tester who wants to make a real impact on the quality of a rapidly evolving SaaS platform.

As a key member of the Engineering team, you will play a leading role in building and enhancing automated testing capabilities, ensuring the business can continue to innovate while maintaining high levels of quality and reliability.

You will work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle rather than treating testing as a final stage activity.

This role would suit someone who enjoys getting hands-on with automation tooling, solving complex technical challenges, and helping to shape how quality engineering is delivered across an organisation.

Your focus

• Proven experience testing SaaS or cloud-based applications.
• Strong hands-on automation testing experience using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Solid understanding of API testing and automation.
• Experience integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of modern software development practices and Agile environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
