We are looking for a qualified and motivated Social Worker to join our Mental Health Social Care Team (MHSCT) at Sirona Medical. The team is part of Adult Social Care within the Royal Borough of Kingston (RBK). It is one of two specialist teams within Adult Social Care, working under the Care Act 2014, the Mental Health Act, and the Mental Capacity Act. The team primarily works with adults whose needs are related to mental health, autism, and substance misuse. We also support young people transitioning into adulthood from children’s services.
The team collaborates closely with NHS mental health services, mental health wards, primary care, and various community organizations. Based at Tolworth Hospital, we operate a hybrid working model, combining remote and in-office work. The team is large, friendly, and supportive, including a manager, deputy manager, and business support colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments and reviews, working in partnership across organizational boundaries, and providing supervision to social workers. You will receive support and supervision from senior practitioners and be expected to have excellent communication, report writing, and IT skills. Knowledge and experience in mental health, autism, and substance misuse in a statutory setting are essential.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress towards AMHP training and will receive a £1000 welcome payment.
