Job summary

The London Borough of Hillingdon is recruiting a dedicated Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities Team and support adults with learning disabilities to live more independently and participate in the community.

You will work with individuals, families and a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored support plans, provide professional guidance, and contribute to safeguarding, assessments and Court of Protection reports as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of 12 months AYSE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment).
• Experience in assessment and care management for individuals with learning disabilities and/or disabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a social work caseload with a high level of autonomy.
• Provide expert professional and technical advice to colleagues, managers, and partners.
• Promote reflective practice and CPD among the team.
• Apply a range of assessment and intervention frameworks.
• Support and mentor others in professionalism and caseload management.
• Build networks with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery.
• Prepare reports for the Court of Protection.
