Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker in the Learning Disability Team to support adults in Swindon. The role requires caseload management, completing Care Act Assessments, reviews and proportionate support planning, including Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interests decisions.

You will work with health, provider services and safeguarding colleagues, with hybrid working and two days in the office per week. A car and Social Work England registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Fluent English language required for customer-facing role.
• Access to a car and ability to travel around the Borough.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and complete Care Act Assessments, reviews and proportionate support planning.
• Include Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions as required.
• Provide peer supervision support and manage safeguarding enquiries and duty rota.
• Work within a hybrid model with two days per week in the office.
• Receive supervision from Advanced Social Workers, Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager.
