Job summary

Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a part-time Social Worker (22.5 hours) for the Children Looked After team within the Life Chances service. Based at Time Square, Bracknell, you will travel to placements inside and outside Bracknell and work flexibly with a 1.5 days per week in the office.

The role is fixed-term up to 12 months as maternity cover. You must have current registration with Social Work England and relevant experience, including ASYE where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current registration with Social Work England.
• ASYE completion where applicable.
• Experience in statutory children’s social care.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads of care-experienced children.
• Prepare and implement care plans to achieve permanency.
• Collaborate with multi-agency teams to support transitions to adulthood.
• Promote placement stability and support Leaving Care services.
