You will manage a caseload of 20–24 cases, conduct assessments, and provide robust support to foster carers and children while safeguarding arrangements and statutory requirements are met. Travel within Torbay is expected.

• Conduct assessments and provide robust support to foster carers and children, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Engage with colleagues, foster carers, and agencies to ensure collaborative working in safeguarding children.
• Remain on duty for one full week every three weeks, handling urgent cases and being available for crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries.
• Participate in fortnightly supervision sessions, contributing to team development and personal professional growth.

Additional Role Information

Travel requirements:

You must be prepared to consistently travel within Torbay and occasionally out of county to visit children placed externally.

Remote working arrangements:

While remote work is indeed permitted, office attendance is expected up to three times per week, with full-time presence necessary during duty weeks.
