Hampshire Children’s Services is rated outstanding by Ofsted. Hampshire County Council’s fostering agency, branded Fostering Hampshire Children, is a local authority-owned fostering agency recruiting and supporting foster carers for children who are unable to live with their own families. This may be until they can return home or, sometimes, until adulthood. Currently, approximately 506 fostering households are registered with Hampshire County Council.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join the West Fostering Team to provide regular supervision to our foster carers and support those caring for Hampshire’s children in care. The ideal candidate is a team player who can work independently yet values being part of a friendly and supportive team.
You should possess excellent communication, organisational, and networking skills. You will be part of an established team that maintains Hampshire’s excellent reputation. The role involves line management by the Fostering Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager, working alongside other Social Workers and Child and Family Support Workers.
This role offers extensive experience and the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in areas such as fostering, children in care, staying put arrangements, and Special Guardianships.
