Job summary

Service Care is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team on a temporary agency contract with our client in the Channel Islands. You will manage a diverse caseload, perform safeguarding assessments and develop tailored plans to protect children and support families.

The role requires 5+ years post-qualifying experience, SW England registration, and a full driving licence. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team and engage partner agencies to meet statutory

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualifying experience with complex families and teenage children within statutory Children's Services.
• Experience managing Child in Need, Child Protection, and Child Care Law cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage a blend of Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Plans.
• Conduct detailed assessments identifying risks, strengths and needs.
• Deliver direct work and tailored interventions with children, young people and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to safeguard children.
• Complete statutory visits, reviews and reports within deadlines.
