Job summary

Progressive Care seeks a dedicated Social Worker to join our family assessment services. You will provide objective guidance to parents, lead assessment processes, and tailor parenting capacity evaluations to meet families’ needs while maintaining professional relationships across our centres.

With DBS checks conducted for all hires, you will work under supervision from practice managers and benefit from bespoke training and support within our social work service, aimed at fostering growth and

Qualifications

  • Must be a qualified and registered social worker.
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience with children and families.
  • Ability to lead and prepare high-quality parenting assessments for court.
  • Experience working with families to conduct robust parenting assessments and be objective.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, objective advice and support to parents to enable families to thrive.
  • Lead the assessment process and complete comprehensive parenting capacity assessments.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with families across centres and coordinate with practice managers and legal advisors.
  • Produce evidence-based, analytical parenting assessments with clear permanency recommendations.

Requirements

YourRole as a Social Worker:

  • Asa social worker within our family assessment services youwill be integral to providing accurate and objective adviceand support to parents enabling families to thrive.
  • Youwill have the opportunity to build meaningful, professionaland respectful working relationships with the families in ourcentres, while leading the assessment process and completingcomprehensive assessments of parenting capacity.
  • Witha manageable caseload you will get to know your families welland be able to tailor your assessments to meet their needsand provide the best opportunities for success.
  • Withdedicated social work practice managers, you will have socialwork qualified line management, supervision andsupport.
  • Withaccess to legal advice and bespoke training and opportunitieswithin the social work service we will provide you with theright environment to flourish and develop.
  • Provideevidence based, analytical and comprehensive parentingassessments that provide clear recommendations for permanencyplanning for children and their families.

OurIdeal Candidate should:

  • HaveSocial Work Qualification.
  • Beregistered with Social Work England.
  • Havea minimum 1 year’s post qualifying experience with childrenand families.
  • Demonstratea willingness and ability to work across a number of ourfamily assessment centres.
  • Haveexperience and capability in preparing high-quality parentingassessment reports for court.
  • Beexperienced in working with families to complete robustparenting assessments, being honest, objective and open withthem.
