Job summary

Sheldon Phillips Ltd is supporting Nottingham City Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities team. This locum role offers flexible hours with a requirement to work in the office two days per week in Nottingham.

You will manage a caseload with section 47/17 enquiries, collaborate with multi-agency partners, prepare court reports, and ensure the voice of the child is central to practice.

We are currently working with Nottingham City Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Children with Disabilities team in Childrens Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Nottingham are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service.

Duties

• Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
• Working closely with multi-agency partners, including OT’s, CAMHS, paediatric and SEND partners)
• Undertake Section 7 and Section 37 reports and attend Court
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the Child
• Write conference reports and attend conferences
• Undertake all Child Protection work from the initial conference onwards
