Job summary

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join a Children with Disabilities Team at Peterborough County Council. You will manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities, conduct assessments and safeguarding work, and collaborate with families, schools and health professionals.

This role is based in Peterborough on a temporary/full-time contract, with a focus on improving outcomes, independence and wellbeing for children with disabilities and

Qualifications

• A recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration is required.
• Experience in Children's Services is essential.
• Experience with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong assessment and safeguarding experience.
• Excellent communication skills and caseload management.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of children and young people with disabilities.
• Completing assessments and statutory reviews.
• Developing and reviewing care plans.
• Working directly with children, young people and families.
• Identifying and managing safeguarding concerns.
• Working alongside schools, health professionals and other agencies.
