Job summary

Leaders In Care Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the South Coast Children with Disabilities Team on a long-term contract. The role focuses on child-centred practice, safeguarding, and delivering high-quality assessments and care plans for children with complex needs.

The position offers flexible hybrid working, a manageable caseload, and strong team supervision to support professional development and positive outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with registration in Social Work England.
• Experience in Children with Disabilities, safeguarding, and assessment teams.
• Strong knowledge of legislation relating to children with disabilities and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload of children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory assessments.
• Complete Care Act and Short Break assessments where appropriate.
• Develop, implement, and review child-centred care and support plans.
• Work with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies.
• Assess and manage safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance.
• Support children in need, child protection, and looked after children processes.
• Prepare high-quality reports and court documentation when necessary.
• Ensure children's voices remain central to planning and decisions.

Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for your next Children with Disabilities (CWD) contract with excellent pay, flexible working arrangements, and a manageable caseload?

We are currently working with a well-established South Coast local authority seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive service that prioritises relationship-based practice, high-quality assessments, and positive outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families.

Working within the CWD Team, you will support children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they receive appropriate services, safeguarding support, and tailored care plans to maximise their wellbeing and development. About You

• Qualified Social Worker
• Registered with Social Work England
• Recent experience within a Children with Disabilities, Safeguarding, Child in Need, or Assessment Team
• Strong knowledge of legislation relating to children with disabilities and safeguarding
• Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
• Excellent assessment, care planning, and relationship-based practice skills
• Ability to build effective partnerships with families and multi-agency professionals
