Job summary

Clackmannanshire Council's Social Work Service in Scotland is seeking a Social Worker (Children's Services) to provide statutory services, carry out assessments of needs and risks, and deliver interventions to individuals and small groups.

The role involves participating in supervision and representing the Service in multi-disciplinary forums within a partnership framework. The Council operates a flexible hybrid approach and is a living wage accredited employer; PVG checks apply.

Job description

Social Worker (Children's Services) - CLA04472

To provide a statutory Social Work Service in accordance with the provisions of relevant legislation and national and local guidelines.

To assume case management responsibilities specific to the Service, carrying out assessment of service users needs and risks, following Service procedures and delivering direct interventions to individuals and small groups as part of a programme of interventions. The role will also involve participating in structured consultation/supervision sessions and representing the Social Work Service in multi-disciplinary forums. This will all be in accordance with Council or hosted stakeholders arrangements, through a Service Level Agreement or Partnership arrangement.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council. Further guidance will follow in your conditional offer of employment on how to apply.
