Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care team in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will help make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in the area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting children in long-term care, via Care Orders or Section 20
• Developing long-term care and pathway plans, and assisting young people with their transition to adulthood
• Collaborating with families, foster carers, residential, and semi-independent settings to meet children’s needs
• Assessing children's needs
• Performing court work under the Children Act 1989 & 2004

Requirements:

• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience of statutory frameworks, policies, procedures, and best practices
• Proficient IT skills
• High level of determination, organizational skills, personal drive, energy, and ambition to meet targets and improve outcomes
• Strong assessment and case management skills
• Ability to work in a busy environment and meet tight deadlines
• Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months; on the update service? You may be fast-tracked through our recruitment process
