Job summary

Kirklees Council is recruiting social workers to join the Children with a Disability Team within the Assessment & Intervention Service. This permanent role is based across Kirklees with a 37-hour week and offers a salary of £34,434 - £44,075 plus a Market Rate Supplement of £1,500 for Level 3 Social Workers.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding children and promoting welfare.
• Experience in social care with assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multi‑agency partners.
• Ability to engage individuals, families and carers in assessments and plans.
• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies and regulations.
• Willing to use supervision to reflect on practice and refine approaches.
• Able to co-work and mentor less experienced practitioners.
• Willing to work towards Practice Educator Level 1 or 2 or already qualified.
