Job Title: Social Worker – Child Protection
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: 36.26 Per Hour

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a Child Protection Team based in Middlesbrough.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Identifying and Assessing Risks: They work to identify children who may be at risk of abuse or neglect and assess the level of risk to ensure appropriate measures are taken
  • Intervention and Support: The team provides intervention and support to children and families where there are concerns about a child’s safety. This includes working with other agencies to provide a coordinated response
  • Safeguarding and Promoting Welfare: Ensuring the safety and welfare of children is a primary duty. This involves creating and implementing plans to protect children from harm
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: They collaborate with various agencies, including health services, education providers, and law enforcement, to ensure a comprehensive approach to child protection
  • Public Awareness and Reporting: The team also works to raise public awareness about child protection issues and encourages the community to report any concerns about a child’s welfare
  • Training and Development: Providing training and resources to professionals and the community to improve understanding and response to child protection issues

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a Social Work England registration.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services.
